Once an Advisor, Always an Advisor.

2026 KAAN Conference
Pittsburg, Kansas | September 24-25, 2026

The Kansas Academic Advising Network (KAAN) conference is the premier event for academic advising and other higher education professionals. Held every year, this conference brings together advisors, faculty, administrators, and other higher education leaders. Among these valuable opportunities to connect, KAAN conference attendees can:

  • Learn from current researchers and professionals working in advising
  • Discover new ways to drive student success and champion academic advising
  • Grow leadership and advising abilities that support your campus

This year, we invite you to join KAAN in Pittsburg, Kansas, at Pittsburg State University for our 33rd annual conference on September 24 and 25, 2026. We recognize that academic advising makes a difference for students, advisors, faculty, and mentors. With this in mind, we celebrate our conference theme “Once an Advisor, Always an Advisor” and recognize the life-changing impact the advising has on both students and professionals.

Interested in Presenting?

The KAAN conference offers opportunities for academic advisors, researchers, and other professionals to present. These are 60-minutes long and may incorporate hands-on activities, lectures, discussions, and other presentation styles. We review presentation proposals on potential interest, relevance to current advising trends and issues, and their applicability to other institutions.

New this year, each accepted presentation includes complimentary registration for one (1) presenter to the KAAN conference. Presenters are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses, and KAAN membership dues are not included. This is processed as a refund, once the KAAN conference and presenter’s presentation have concluded.
